Jefferson: Russian is my cup of tea!
Jefferson is one of the most active students of the Centre. He came from Santa-Katarina, Brazil and now enjoys his stay and study in Samara.
Jefferson: "Visiting Russia was my cherished dream for a long time. I love this country, its history, culture and especially language. I tried to study French, English and some other languages. But when I started Russian I realized – that was my cup of tea! I have been studying Russian for 2 years on my own. Now I have an opportunity to do it with a good teacher here at SSU. And I’m very happy about it!"
Since the beginning of September Jefferson’s been having an intensive course of Russian in the University. He has 6 lessons a week and makes really startling progress.
Jefferson: "I’m a lucky dog! I have wonderful teachers: Valentina and Tatiana. There are professional and friendly at the same time. That’s why our lessons are so various and interesting. We’re learning new words, practicing grammar, reading classical literature, singing songs. I’m improving my Russian step by step."
Jefferson is not only a diligent student but also a very cheerful and sociable person. After 3 months in Samara he’s managed to make a lot of friends and to learn some specialties of city.
Jefferson: "My adaptation here was very easy. I think it’s because of people. As soon as I arrived in Samara I met two wonderful girls from the SSU Russian Centre. They brought me to the University and introduced to other specialists. All of them are very nice and have become my good friends. They helped me to settle down my life here and now I feel very comfortable. I really enjoy the city – its people, its architecture, its nature. I’ve never had such a wonderful autumn!"
