Visa
SSU will help you organize your trip to Russia, including official invitation and registration in Samara. There are a few rules of travel and stay in Russia that you might be interested to know.
Visa support letter (invitation)
You will need an entry visa to travel to Russia. Students have to apply for the visa at a visa department of a Russian Consulate or Embassy in their country of residence.
SSU will provide participants with a necessary letter of invitation. The letter of invitation must be supplied as ORIGINAL to Russian consulates in most countries.
Visa application procedure
The visa-fee depends on the price policy of each consulate and on the applicant?s nationality. The following items are needed to file an application for a Russian visa:
- Filled-in visa application form
- Invitation letter
- One recent passport-sized photo
- Valid passport
- Health insurance policy
- HIV test certificate (for stays longer than three months only)
Visa registration
Travellers in Russia must register at the local Migration Services Office within three days after arrival. SSU will do that for you. Registration of a visa will require your passport, visa and migration card (issued on the border).
